Labor & Birth Offerings

I create an empathic, non-judgmental space where you can bring your dreams, concerns, fears, and questions.

Our time together before labor and birth provides you with the tools you need to visualize and prepare for the birth experience you want, while also helping you plan for the unexpected. I work to understand how you best receive support and collaborate with any support person/s who are walking this journey with you: learning from them as well as providing them with tangible ways to be of service to you during pregnancy, labor and birth.

During your labor and birth, I am a grounding presence, holding whatever needs holding in order for you to release into the experience fully. I also support your support person/s as they stand beside you: guiding them in ways to support, making sure their basic needs are met, and answering any questions they have as they witness the process.

Call with the Doula

I facilitate a meeting with you and the support people of your choice to answer questions or address their concerns and/or fears surrounding birth in general or your specific birth choices.

Your support network is invaulable during this time of major transitions, and sometimes having a voice outside of your family or community space can be a helpful way to clearly hear each other and allow the poeple who care about you find ways to actively provide support that best suits you and see how they can hold you in your own choices and power.

Transition Ceremony:

I collaborate with you/your support people to create a culturally relevant ceremony/ritual/gathering to welcome you into parenthood. This can be a powerful way to practice asking for and accepting support from the people who love and care about you.

The journey toward parenthood can feel daunting and overwhelming in its newness. You may have moments where you are not sure you are ready or capable. Having people gather around you and hold you, physically or emotionally in a tangible way can be a potent and empowering thing to carry with you into the unknown of your birth and parenthood journey.
